Viewing a Music Zone inside Qnext

A Music zone is a shared music library. You can instantly listen to all of the shared music, including any shared playlists. You can even make your own playlists of your favorite shared tunes. This guide will outline all of the features of a Music zone, from top to bottom.

How to view the shred zones to you? You can click the icon on the right of the contact name in the Contact List. The same can be done by click the Show the Explorer (Desktop) icon in the Contact Panel and then double-click on the Browse Friend’s Content.

Double-click on the desired music zone of your friend to open it and you will see the following window.

Music Zone at a Glance

The Music Player

Use the playback controls on the left to manage the current track, and use the shuffle/repeat controls on the right to manage how a list of songs will be played. Here’s a full breakdown:

Shared Library and Playlists

The Library section contains all the shared music in the Zone, organized by categories: Artist, Album, Genre, and Playlists. Click on a category to see the songs in it displayed on the right. The Playlists category contains playlists that the Zone owner has created and shared. Right-click on any category and click Save as a New Playlist to create your own. Once created, browse through the Library and drag songs from the right onto your newly created playlist.

Current Tracks’ Listing Area

When you browse through Playlists or look for songs by Artist, Album or Genre, the Tracks will be displayed in this area. Just double-click a song to start playing it. You can also add any songs displayed in this area to a Playlist you have made or to the Now Playing queue.

The current tracks’ listing area has two view modes: Album View with information for album cover image, name and tracks number and Detail View with information for Track, Artist, Album, Genre, and track Length.

Searching

To search for music, just enter a whole or partial search term into the Search box at the top of the zone window and hit Enter. Your results will display below in the Track listing area. This area will be blank if there are no results. You can access these search results at any time (unless you perform a new search) by clicking the Search Results heading in the Library column.
