Viewing a File Zone inside Qnext
A File zone is a virtual folder with shared files available for download. There is no limit to how many files are shared or how big the shared files or folders are. You just browse through the stuff and download or upload what you want. This guide will outline all of the features of a File zone, from top to bottom.
File Zone at a Glance

Browsing through Folders
The Shared Files pane contains all the files and folders that have been shared with you by the owner of the zone. Browse through the shared content by double clicking folders. Your current location is displayed in the Folders Path as a series of links separated by arrows. The root icon and the subsequent path components are used to quickly move between the folders. You can scroll this pane with the mouse. Double-click on a folder to see the files inside. You can highlight multiple files or folders to Download them as a batch.
Downloading & Uploading Files
Double-click any file to instantly download it to the location specified. Or highlight multiple files and/or folders and press the Download button or right-click on the selection and choose Download from the menu. Any files you download go into the default File Transfer/Received folder on your computer automatically created by Qnext. You can change the default folder using the Set the download folder icon located next to the Download files to field.
Uploading files or folders from your computer to a shared folder (with permission only Allow Uploads), is a very similar process. First, select or open the target upload folder in the Shared Files section. Next press the Upload button and browse Select file(s) to transfer until you find the files or folders that you want to upload. Double-click on a single file to upload it instantly or choose a selection of files and click Open. You can also just drag and drop any selected files from your computer to the target location in the Shared Files pane to initiate an upload transfer.
You can Delete from the right-click context menu selected files or folders in the Shared Files pane of the File zone only if the folder has Upload permissions.
Once you initiate any transfer, you will be able to monitor the transfer status in the Queue pane below.
Note, closing the File zone does not terminate active transfers.
Managing the Transfer Queue
When you are downloading or uploading multiple files at once, you may want to manage the transfer queue. Do this by files selecting a transfer item and using the Queue controls. You can remove selected files at once using the command Selected Files>Remove from the right-click context menu.
Searching
To search for specific folders or files just enter a whole or partial search term into the Search zone content…box at the top right of the zone window and click Enter. Your results will display below in the Shared Files pane under the name Search Results. This area will be blank if there are no results. Click the Parent Directory icon to return to the first folder view of the zone after you have viewed your Search Results. There will be a new folder on this screen Search Results which will contain the current results until you perform a new search.
