Group Text Chat

When someone shares a zone (Music, File, Photo) with you, they have the option of including a Group Text Chat so that anyone in the zone at the same time can have a real-time conversation without leaving that zone.

Sending Messages

On the right you can see if anyone else is inside the zone. To send a message that will be visible to everyone inside the zone, simply type your message in the message field, and hit Enter or press the Send button.

Sending Private Messages

To send a message that only a specific person will see, click their name from the list on the right, and press the Whisper button. A command will appear in the message field; just type your message after it and hit Enter or the Send button. That message will only be visible to the person you selected.

Formatting Font and Emoticons

You can change the color, make bold, italicize, and/or underline the font of your Group Text Chat messages. Use the font formatting controls to the right of the message field before typing your message to change the way your font looks.

Click the emoticon icon and select an emoticon from the collection to insert it into your message.

Group Text Chat as Main Content of Zone

Group Text Chat can be the main content if you prefer to create only a Group Chat zone for your family or friends, or choose to create multiple chat zones with varied topics and participants.

Using the top right icon Properties gropup chat options in the right field, you can select and immediately apply the shown settings for Group Chat service features.

If Time Stamp format is selected, messages can be marked: Date (Day, Month, Year) and Time (Hours: Minutes) (D.M.Y H:M); only Time (H:M:S); Date without Year and Time without Seconds (D Y H:M). Selecting None will leave the messages unmarked.

In Logging Type you can select to 'Save' and choose the format to save in. If you choose to save, the Group Text Chat history of the session will appear as a file in the Qnext user data subfolder GTC/Log. Your choices for saving are: None, Plain Text (file with extension log), or HTML.
