If you have a Dark Green, Yellow or Red connection light, and you've already tried the automatic configuration, it's time for the custom configuration.
The custom method involves a process called Port Forwarding. You will only need to forward ports if you connect to the Internet using a router. If you don't have a router and have a Red or Yellow connection, you probably have a Firewall issue; click here to resolve it easily.
If you are a home or small office user connecting through a router, start by clicking the Direct button. Unless you are experienced in network connectivity, we recommend maintaining the settings Listen on web ports (recommended) on the following page and clicking Next:

This page tells you what ports to forward on your router. If you are unfamiliar with port forwarding, please see Static IP & Port-Forwarding section for simple instructions. If you're familiar with the process, simply forward the ports listed above on your router. Once you have forwarded the appropriate ports, click the link to test incoming connections to see if you were successful. Click Next after testing your connection.

That's it! Press Finish to restart Qnext. If your connection has not improved (I.e. your light has not changed colors) it is likely that you have a Firewall issue; click here to resolve it easily.
