Create a New Account
When Qnext starts up for the first time you will be on the main Sign In to Qnext window. Click the Create an account link and simply follow the steps of the Create a new account wizard.
The information that you must provide on the first step is a Username and Password. The inclusion of an Email address in your information is optional, although it is the only way by which a forgotten password can be retrieved later on. We strongly recommend that you provide your email address. We will not sell or share your email address or any other personal information with any third party unless we required doing so by law.
The Do not display this email to anyone means that when anyone searches for a user on the Qnext network they or your friends will not see your email address.
Qnext does not collect any communication or data information that takes place between users. We ask our users to Subscribe to the Qnext Quality Improvement Program (QQIP) in Account Details: Step 2 of 4. This will allow Qnext to send anonymous data to the development team for use in prioritizing our development. You can be rest assured that no private data or content is ever collected or sent. To subscribe for the QQIP and for receiving periodic Qnext information, please check the relevant checkbox.
Simply follow the steps of the Wizard, filling in any information you wish as you go along. When you are finished, click Finish. Your username will now appear in the Account drop-down menu and you need only type in your Password in order to login to Qnext.
If you check mark Sign me in automatically, then the next time Qnext starts up it will sign you in automatically on that account without needing to enter your username or password. To add an additional new account, simply click the Create an account link in the in the Sign In to Qnext dialog and complete the Account Creation Wizard’s instructions.
When you sign in for the very first time with your Qnext account you will have the choice to sign up to external instant messaging protocols such as Yahoo!, AIM, ICQ, Jabber, Google Talk, iChat and MSN. Once you import your existing messenger accounts, or if you decide to do it later, press the Continue on to Qnext... link. Even if you skip that step you can add EIM accounts any time later from the main Qnext Contact Panel.
